Andro Tomic is co-owner of Capitol City Construction.  Andro graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management and a minor in Business Administration from East Carolina University.  Upon graduating, he moved to Washington, DC and worked for a nationwide Fortune 500 construction company.  He continued his career by working in the commercial construction and commercial framing/drywall fields throughout North Carolina.  Andro also worked for 10 years in the multi-family construction industry for a dynamic multifamily investment company where he completed numerous projects throughout the Southeast and also for one of the largest multifamily management companies in the Washington, DC metro where he was a Sr. Project Manager for the construction division.  Andro Tomic is responsible for all aspects of Business Development with Capitol City Construction.

Andro currently lives in Alexandria, VA with his wife and two children

Roy Willett is a co-owner of Capitol City Construction with Andro Tomic.  Roy brings a wealth of knowledge in the multi-family industry; with over 20 years of multi-family construction experience with Gates Hudson. Roy started in the Property Management industry as a Certified Building Engineer overseeing multiple Class A rental assets and Class A Commercial space.   Shortly thereafter, he was promoted to Project Manager with Gates Hudson Services. As a Project Manager, Roy’s responsibilities were to manage interior and exterior capital improvements on multi-family assets throughout DC, Maryland, and Virginia. These projects ranged from electrical heavy ups, facade replacements, interior and exterior common area improvements, in-unit renovations, infrastructure upgrades to accommodate washer and dryer installs, central plant upgrades, and tenant space conversions. The budgets on these projects ranged from $100,000 to $80,000,000. 

Roy currently lives in Vienna, VA with his wife and three children

Carolyn Cornwell is the Office Manager for Capitol City Construction and oversees daily operations. Prior to joining Capitol City Construction, Carolyn served as a Sr. Portfolio Manager with Gates Hudson Community Management where she obtained CMCA and AMS designations. During her tenure, Carolyn managed portfolios that included commercial and high-end condominiums and successfully oversaw multi-million dollar capital improvement projects.  As a Northern Virginia native, she enjoys working for locally based Capitol City Construction.

Eddie Sanchez is a Project Manager for Capitol City Construction. Eddie began his career as a Leasing Agent and Leasing Manager. He grew up in the renovation and construction industry helping his father which came in handy when he transitioned to an onsite Maintenance Tech and then eventually transitioned into the role of Project Manager at Gates Hudson. Prior to joining Capitol City Construction, Eddie served at a Project Manager with Dweck Properties. Eddie Sanchez has been a northern Virginia resident for the last 23 years.

Jemez Quander is a Project Manager for Capitol City Construction. Jemez brings over 20 years’ experience in residential and commercial construction. Prior to joining Capitol City Construction, Jemez served as a Facilities Manager with Gates Hudson Services. During his tenure, Jemez managed maintenance contracts and capital improvement projects for high-end condominiums and commercial properties. He is detailed oriented, organized and has great customer services skills. Jemez is a native Washingtonian and currently lives in Maryland with his wife and youngest daughter of three children.

Michael Hamilton is a project manager for Capitol City Construction.  Michael graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science from East Carolina University.  During his career he has previously worked for companies such as Mid-South Building Supply, Suburban Kitchens, and Reico Kitchen & Bath where he has gained valuable experience in the construction renovation process.  Michael currently lives in Fairfax, VA with his wife and two children

Nate Doptis brings with him nearly 20 years of experience in the construction industry. Nate began his career upon graduating from Marymount University in Arlington, VA. He quickly fell in love with all things construction and worked to earn General Contractors License in 2006 and open his own company. He has worked on residential and commercial projects; ranging from small residential remodels to the construction of new, ground up, lab space for the Department of the Army, Science and Technology Division. During his career he has worked in the field, and office, as Department Director of up to nine other project managers and support staff. Nate has lived, learned, and worked in the Northern Virginia area for 35 years and recently moved with his family to Richmond, VA to head up Capitol City Construction’s new Richmond, VA office.

Nate currently lives in Richmond, VA with his wife and three children.

Wagner Cortez is a Project Manager for Capitol City Construction. Wagner has been in the construction business his whole life. From a young age he would work with his father doing residential remodeling. Along with his uncles who worked in different trades such as plumbing, electric, framing and tiling. At the age of 18 he worked with his family full time learning the trades in depth. At the age of 21 he stepped into the administrative side of the construction business working for a contracting company that worked with property management companies such as Greystar, Lerner and Equity. He started as a dispatcher and worked his way up to Project Manger within the year.

Wagner currently lives in Sterling, Virginia with his family.
