CONSTRUCTION

Andro Tomic is co-owner of Capitol City Construction.  Andro graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management and a minor in Business Administration from East Carolina University.  Upon graduating, he moved to Washington, DC and worked for a nationwide Fortune 500 construction company.  He continued his career by working in the commercial construction and commercial framing/drywall fields throughout North Carolina.  Andro also worked for 10 years in the multi-family construction industry for a dynamic multifamily investment company where he completed numerous projects throughout the Southeast and also for one of the largest multifamily management companies in the Washington, DC metro where he was a Sr. Project Manager for the construction division.  Andro Tomic is responsible for all aspects of Business Development with Capitol City Construction.

Roy Willett is a co-owner of Capitol City Construction with Andro Tomic.  Roy brings a wealth of knowledge in the multi-family industry; with over 20 years of multi-family construction experience with Gates Hudson. Roy started in the Property Management industry as a Certified Building Engineer overseeing multiple Class A rental assets and Class A Commercial space.   Shortly thereafter, he was promoted to Project Manager with Gates Hudson Services. As a Project Manager, Roy’s responsibilities were to manage interior and exterior capital improvements on multi-family assets throughout DC, Maryland, and Virginia. These projects ranged from electrical heavy ups, facade replacements, interior and exterior common area improvements, in-unit renovations, infrastructure upgrades to accommodate washer and dryer installs, central plant upgrades, and tenant space conversions. The budgets on these projects ranged from $100,000 to $80,000,000.

Carolyn Cornwell is the Director of Operations for Capitol City Construction and oversees daily operations. Prior to joining Capitol City Construction, Carolyn served as a Sr. Portfolio Manager with Gates Hudson Community Management where she obtained CMCA and AMS designations. During her tenure, Carolyn managed portfolios that included commercial and high-end condominiums and successfully oversaw multi-million dollar capital improvement projects.  As a Northern Virginia native, she enjoys working for locally based Capitol City Construction.

Nate Doptis is the Director of Construction for the Richmond, VA Region.Nate Doptis brings with him nearly 20 years of experience in the construction industry. Nate began his career upon graduating from Marymount University in Arlington, VA. He quickly fell in love with all things construction and worked to earn General Contractors License in 2006 and open his own company. He has worked on residential and commercial projects; ranging from small residential remodels to the construction of new, ground up, lab space for the Department of the Army, Science and Technology Division. During his career he has worked in the field, and office, as Department Director of up to nine other project managers and support staff.

Jonathan Wimmer is the Director of Construction for the Washington, DC Region. With over 12 years of multifamily construction experience, Jonathan has successfully completed more than $250 million in capital and commercial projects, including over 10,000 unit renovation and value-add deals. He has established strong relationships with trade partners throughout the East Coast and has extensive experience managing project management teams, providing due diligence services, reporting to stakeholders, investors, executives, and ownership groups, and overseeing large vendor accounts and procurement duties with major suppliers. Prior to joining Capitol City Construction, Jonathan worked with several prominent ownership groups, including Cortland Partners, LC3 Capital Partners/Briarwood Construction, Iron Fish Construction/Blackfin Real Estate, Asurion Corporate, and Shultz Contracting.
